Liquefaction Technology

CryoSys® modular system with Phase 1 capacity of 400,000 GPD, scalable up to 1.6 MM GPD. High-efficiency liquefaction units designed for flexible expansion and optimized energy performance across all project phases.

Storage Tank

30,000 m³ full containment (FBT) tank built to international cryogenic standards. Engineered for maximum thermal integrity and long-term reliability to ensure continuous LNG availability.

Marine Dock

Dedicated, top of the line berth for bunker vessels. Equipped with cryogenic loading arms, vapor recovery, and safety systems to ensure a safe operation.

Safety Systems

Integrated ESD network, fire-water system, and continuous gas detection. Designed under API 2510 and NFPA 59A standards to provide full-facility protection and rapid emergency response capability.

Truck Loading & Distribution Area

Multi-bay truck loading racks for regional LNG distribution. Supports overland supply to industrial users and satellite stations throughout northern and central Mexico.

Control & Operations Center

Centralized facility for 24/7 monitoring, control, and emergency coordination. Hosts advanced automation systems and operator interfaces to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous operations.

Project Roadmap

The development of the Altamira LNG Bunkering Terminal follows a clear and structured plan — from early conceptual design through detailed engineering and construction, leading to full operations by Q4 2027. Each phase represents a major step in bringing Mexico's first LNG marine fueling hub to reality.

Q2 2025 — Conceptual / Pre-FEED Completed

Finalization of site layout, process definition, and permitting roadmap confirming project feasibility and strategic alignment.

Q3 2025 — Final Investment Decision (FID)

Project sanctioned following technical and financial validation.

Q3 2025 — Early Works Initiated

Earthworks and site preparation activities begin, leveling and conditioning the land for construction.

Q4 2025 — Detailed Design Initiation

Engineering firm selected and mobilized to develop the detailed design package.

Q1–Q2 2026 — Construction Start

Civil works commence, including foundations, drainage, and utility infrastructure.

Q2 2026–Q3 2027 — Major Construction & Installation

Mechanical, electrical, and cryogenic systems installed alongside marine infrastructure and safety systems.

Q4 2027 — Commissioning & Operations

Testing, certification, and operational handover mark the start of commercial LNG bunkering in Altamira.
